Hi all, As previously discussed, we will continue to evaluate reductions to the JADE floor price based on the programmatic inflation coming from the SMRTr bonding event. Our goal is to ensure that bonders who are on long term vesting schedules are protected in the event of a bank run. As of November 1st, 2022, the floor price for JADE (on BSC and AVAX) will be adjusted to $15.13. We will continue to give at least 7 days notice before any floor reductions, as we want to give everyone sufficient notice to redeem if they would like. The redeem contracts have both been topped up in anticipation of the floor price reduction. These decisions are not taken lightly and are made weighing the interests of different constituencies and the long term interests of the protocol.

Hey TG Users! First, I want to apologize for neglecting this channel over the last month... Community Improvement Proposal (CIP)-1 and CIP-2 recently passed with flying colors! This means that Jade is finally re-branding as a DAO with more robust DAO tooling. What does this mean for you? Once our governance platform is live, you will be able to chat in token-gated forums, see the fund report, propose ideas for CIPs and receive support via a ticketing system! All without needing to connect your wallet to Discord! We will be using a Web3 website similar to Commonwealth, which uses a sign transaction (no fee) to simply check your wallet balance of sJADE to assign you certain levels of access. Hello everyone, some updates for you all. We are coming up on a milestone, over 1,500 transactions logged for Discount 1 and ~499K JADE minted! We are very happy to have seen all this engagement from our community. 🙂 Last night, I finished up the last series of wallet repair requests, and we will be re-instating a total of ~20 wallets that were previously disqualified. These wallets have opened support tickets with us and provided an abundance of evidence to prove that the wallets they were connected to: (1) do not belong to them, (2) engaged in transactions that were related to other IRL re-payments that did not damage the SmartCoin ecosystem, and/or (3) represented an OTC deal that was arranged with another user. We are proud of upholding our promise to users who followed the rules so that they can bond their JLP for Jade in Discount 1. In order to update the smart contracts with these new user's wallets added, we will be temporarily halting bonding at the 500k emissions mark. We set the current Discount 1 emissions limit to 500k, which means it will halt shortly (see current Discount 1 emissions here: https://snowtrace.io/address/0xdcbb8a0fe62ae5064bd36379eee594cc9861a384). Our action plan is to re-launch a new Discount 1 contract for the remaining Jade to be minted, and we will also be adding some new security features to the newly launched contract to ensure that the remainder of the bonding event proceeds smoothly.
